Why This Training?

Level 2 builds on your Level 1 foundation, equipping you for complicated trauma cases where dissociation, shutdown, shame spirals, or fragmented memories have resisted standard processing approaches.

Better Access Initiative Support: RET Level 2 aligns with Focused Psychological Strategies under Australia’s Better Access scheme.​​​​​

Core Advanced Techniques
Time Travel Technique
  1. Identify when Time Travel is the most effective

  2. Maintain safety during deep immersion in the scene

  3. Facilitate dialogue between the adult and younger self

Floatback Method
  1. Locate earliest or most potent related memory

  2. Activate the memory with precision and safety

  3. Link present triggers to past events for reconsolidation

Advanced Clinical Skills
  1. Intervention Selection – Know when to use Time Travel vs. Floatback

  2. Managing Dissociation – Work with shutdown, collapse, fragmentation

  3. Handling Hyperarousal – Regulate sessions beyond tolerance

  4. Processing Shame Memories – Address identity-level wounds

  5. Working with Fragmented Narratives – Process incomplete/somatic memories

  6. Belief Integration – Support lasting change after shifts

  7. Real-Time Decision-Making – Adjust pacing and structure

  8. Therapeutic Presence Under Pressure – Stay attuned in intense sessions
