After you have completed the training workshop, you receive online access to videos to help you refresh your skills.
Therapists learn best when trainers demonstrate skills. Both workshops use several video recordings of therapy with real clients who have given permission for training purposes.
Deactivating the Buttons
Learn how to quickly and effectively resolve memories of disturbing events that fuel PTSD, anxiety, fears, and emotional reactivity.
This workshop is skill-based and experiential, requiring participants to take the roles of both therapist and client.
It presumes that participants have solid basic counselling skills and are comfortable experiencing and working with strong affect.
This workshop enables clinicians who attended the two-day workshop “Deactivating the Buttons: Integrating a Trauma Lens into Counseling Framework” refine their knowledge and skills.
Participants receive supervised practice and feedback and expand their skills. Participants learn how and when to integrate aspects of imagery rescripting to enhance affect and rework the outcomes in traumatic memories.
